What You Will Be Doing
Supporting individuals with personal care, routines, and independent living skills
Encourage positive behaviour and using de-escalation techniques when needed
Helping individuals engage in meaningful activities at home and in the community
Working closely with families, health professionals and the wider support team
Maintaining accurate records and following care plans and managing finances
Element of written and computer work will be required for this role to ensure all documents are up to date and daily notes recorded
Requirements and Preferences
If you hold a full UK driving license, that would be a great bonus but is not a mandatory requirement
We provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so candidates must be flexible to work on different days and on different shifts; we currently work with early and late shifts from 7 : 30 am - 9 : 30 pm, as well as some waking nights
We are currently recruiting for full-time and part-time roles
Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female member of staff to support them.
For this particular role a Female member of staff is required.
This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act
About the People We Support
The people we support live with learning disabilities in a large bungalow in Huntly.
They are active in the local community and enjoy activities such as swimming, going to cafes, music and pamper sessions.
We are looking for people who are calm under pressure, compassionate, resilient and dedicated to promoting dignity and respect at all times.
Training and Development

We provide specialised training in Epilepsy and Safety Interventions (including de-escalation techniques and safe physical interventions).
