Are you looking for a team that truly cares about each other and the wellbeing of the whole team. That also just happens to be innovative, passionate, out of the box thinkers and learners that create a whānau approach to explicit teaching of the curriculum, that also values the whole child, the local and natural environment, community, culture and history of the area.
We have several positions available due to the creation of our new strategic plan and reshuffle of roles. It is an exciting time to jump on board with a fabulous team and community. We love our students and know that you will too.
We are well on the way with BSLA and Numicon as the baselines to deliver structure along with rich routines for all students to thrive. Professional development is ongoing and you will be well supported. Our local curriculum, environment and inquiry are highly valued at Woodlands School.
This position is suitable for only experienced intervention teachers with knowledge of special needs and rights. It is a highly collaborative but also independent role to identify and create highly quality learning supports for individuals and groups. Out of the box thinking is required.
Woodlands is set in the heart of Southland within easy reach of Invercargill city, Fiordland National Park, The Catlins Forest Park, Stewart Island and Otago. Possibly the best of Aotearoa’s outdoor playground from sun to snow and mountains and ocean, Southland has it all, along with affordable housing and friendly communities.
