About The Role
As the Employment Relations Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting and developing capability across the business.
You will be the technical expert on employment relations, offering insights and recommendations to support informed and risk-based decision-making.
Your role will be pivotal in ensuring compliance, blended with pragmatism and commerciality.
The role blends strategic horsepower with operational prowess, and it is very busy within a large, complex organisation.
You will guide with qualified authority on various ER matters, including OIAs, and you will drive initiatives forward with urgency.
You will also build capability, deliver service, and manage stakeholder relationships.

About You
Private sector experience and a strong commercial bent, coupled with time in Government.
Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
Extensive experience in employment relations in NZ with in-depth knowledge of New Zealand employment law and regulations.
Ideally, you will have a law degree.
Deep understanding of industrial relations practice, including collective bargaining, union relationships, OIAs, protective disclosures, etc.
Knowledge of performance management principles and methodologies.
