Ward 29 may be the place for you.

You will use advanced patient assessment skills, provide heightened nursing vigilance, and use critical thinking and reasoning skills to deliver individualised and holistic nursing care.

SHANA is a 5-beded, nurse-led unit staffed by two Registered Nurses, utilising high acuity monitoring.

Various hours are available, working rostered, rotating shifts, working rostered and rotating shifts.

About the Team / Service

Ward 29 is staffed by Registered Nurses who are supported by Health Care Assistants.

Nurses work with the multi-disciplinary team including Senior Doctors (Consultants), Registrars and House Surgeons (Junior Doctors), Clinical Nurse Specialists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Dietitians.

Within Ward 29 is also a five bedded high acuity nursing area, staffed by experienced Registered Nurses.

This area cares for patients who need a higher level of monitoring and nursing intervention, but do not require ICU or HDU care.

The focus is on advanced patient assessment, heightened nursing vigilance, with access to high acuity monitoring.

The nurse-to-patient ratio within this area differs from that provided on the ward.
