• About the Role
• We have an exciting opportunity within Te Uru Arotau, Acute and Elective Specialist Services for a Specialty Clinical Nurse (SCN) for Vascular Access & Medicine Management.The SCN role will also be responsible for the Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) service.

This will mean you will be responsible for the bookings, patient experience surveys, recruitment, rostering and education of staff and reporting on the service.Coordination of care across secondary services providing clinical expertise and leadership that ensures coordinated services are delivered to people and whanau in the most timely, effective, appropriate and efficient way is also a key component of this position.

You will also contribute to the development of quality improvement initiative, and the development of pathways, protocols and guidelines in the specific area of practice.The SCN must demonstrate / display proficient RN competencies and seen as a highly effective, progressive and knowledgeable person.
