About the role and who we are looking for :

We are looking for a

part-time

Cook

to work at

Palmerston North Hospital,

working a minimum of 16 hours per week.

We need someone who loves to cook.

In this position you will be responsible for :

ensuring temperature monitoring and record keeping is adhered to

overseeing all aspects of lunch and dinner

preparing and serving quality meals according to dietitian specifications

ensuring the quality of every dish we serve

assisting with ordering

maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen

Ideal skills and experience you will have :

If you're our ideal candidate you will be hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.

Ideally you will already have experience working in a commercial kitchen and hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 & 168), or be happy to train for one.

You will need to have the ability to work independently and confidently but, most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
