  • About the role :

    We are looking for an enthusiastic  Kitchen Hand  to work at Nelson Hospital .  Permanent part-time  a minimum of 8 hours per week .

    Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities :

    In this position you will be responsible for;

    • Basic food preparation and presentation
    • Sandwich making
    • Providing superb customer service
    • Serving meals
    • Stock control
    • Washing dishes
    • Assisting in general kitchen and cleaning duties
    • He kōrero mōu / About you :

      If you're our ideal candidate;

      You will have good communication skills, be well presented, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.

      Ideally you will already have some experience working in a commercial kitchen, hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167) (or be happy to train for one).

      You will have superior customer service skills but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.

      You will be in possession of a clean and Full driver's license as you will be expected to collect food and deliver it to sites.
