Netting Assistant

Crop Protection Systems have revolutionized horticulture by shielding crops from frost, hail, wind, and pests. We are looking for a motivated Netting Assistant to join our team permanently and full-time. This hands-on role involves working outdoors in Central Otago, constructing, and maintaining netting systems that protect orchards year-round.

In this role, you’ll assist with the construction and installation of netting structures. You will be responsible for :

• Reading and understanding plans and measurements for the construction of netting systems
• Selecting and preparing materials for installation
• Preparing groundworks in preparation for installation
• Operating power tools, hand tools and other equipment
• Operating the MAXI 640 Hydralada and other vehicles after receiving full training.
• Maintaining clean and organized worksites.
• Adhere to all safety protocols during installation and maintenance to prevent accidents.
