OverviewMatariki Continuing Care Facility, Te Awamutu — Casual contractAbout the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Assistant to join NZ Health | Te Whatu Ora, Waikato, Older Persons and Rehabilitation service working at Matariki Continuing Care facility, Te Awamutu.Applicants will need to have a passion to care for the elderly in a kind and empathetic manner and be prepared to work in a busy and challenging environment.Successful applicants must be available to work rostered and rotating 8 hours shifts 24 / 7 across all seven days of the week.The salary for this position will be based on experience and in line with the NZNO agreement.Click here to view the position description.About the ServiceMataraki is an off-site Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora Inpatient Continuing Care facility.

Matariki cares mostly for post-acute patients who have been inpatients at Waikato or Thames hospitals and need time to recover prior to their discharge.Mataraki has a rehabilitative focus and also cares for palliative and day care patients.You will be joining our dedicated interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
