About The Role We're looking for a passionate and skilled Senior Developer to help drive engineering excellence within our agile squad.

You'll work closely with the Lead Engineer to balance delivery speed with operational reliability, ensuring our software is safe, scalable, and maintainable.

You'll play a key role in shaping technical standards, advancing modernisation strategies, and mentoring others as we continually grow our engineering capability.

In this role, you'll design, build, and deploy high-quality software that delivers real customer value.

You'll help translate user stories into elegant solutions, write clean and testable code, lead peer reviews, and guide your team in adopting best practices in CI / CD, security, and modern development tooling.

You'll be hands-on in creating robust design documentation, evaluating technology options, and managing technical debt, all while ensuring smooth releases and reliable performance in production.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Should Have

Languages : Typescript, Nodejs, Gherkin, C#, JavaScript

Frameworks : React, Angular, Express, Jest, Playwright, Single SPA, .

NET

Products : ADO, ADO registry, Application Insights & ELK and DevOps tooling like Azure DevOps, GitHub or similar, 3Scale API gateway

Cloud Platform : MS Azure or similar.

Cloud native and hybrid cloud products

Experience in Kafka (Architectural designs) & Azure Cloud (Cosmos DB, Key-Vault etc)

Understanding of CI / CD, Azure DevOps, OpenShift, Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with modern software engineering practices and working environments, including, but not limited to, TDD, automation, pipelines, trunk-based development, BDD

Experience designing and building microservices using OpenAPI Specification and / or micro-frontends that adhere to SOLID principles

Experience with RESTful Web APIs and any API management tool.

Demonstrated understanding of Agile ways of working and mindset.

Business related qualifications / learning demonstrating expertise, curiosity, a thirst for knowledge and growth.

It would also be desirable to have

Demonstrated understanding of how modern AI and LLM work.

Demonstrated experience with leveraging LLMs to extend an application's capability.

Demonstrated proficiency in prompt engineering and RAG techniques contributing to optimise AI output.

Practical understanding / application of ML concepts i.e. Model training, etc.
