Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is supporting National Grid in delivering critical energy infrastructure in Wales.
We are looking for an Information Manager to strengthen our digital capabilities and embed effective data-led information management processes across this high-profile programme.
Role Overview
As an Information Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and embedding information management plans, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO
Working closely with the Client, Document Control, Quality, and Engineering teams, you will oversee CDE implementation, data capture, and reporting, while supporting the adoption of digital tools such as Power BI to enable smarter, data-driven decision making.
You will also help drive a consistent information management approach across the Energy business, ensuring collaboration, compliance, and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and advise on ISO
Develop and implement Information Management plans, processes, and procedures
Work with Document Control and Engineering teams to improve workflows and handover strategies
Manage and support document control teams, setting objectives and providing training where required
Develop Power BI dashboards and data capture tools to improve data quality and reporting
Monitor actions and progress through data-driven weekly and monthly reports
Support the integration of digital processes and ensure consistency across the Energy sector
Provide software training to project teams and document controllers
Travel to project sites, including Shetland (approx. twice per month)
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
We're looking for an Information Manager with strong knowledge of BIM, CDE systems, and data-led reporting in a major project environment.
You Will Bring
Proficiency in ISO
Experience in a BIM advisory or information management role on large-scale projects
Knowledge of document control processes and ability to lead and support document control teams
Experience in Common Data Environments (e.g. Viewpoint for Projects, ProjectWise, SharePoint)
Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Power BI dashboard development
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and commitment to standardisation
ISO
Willingness to travel within the UK as required

We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.
Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground.
Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair and refurbishment services.
