About the role

As a Dental Receptionist, your primary responsibility will be meeting and greeting patients visiting our Dental and Oral Health Service.

The role is mainly based at Wellington Hospital, though you may need to provide support at the service's sites across the district as required.

You will be working closely with our experienced & supportive team of Dentists, Clinical Dental Technicians and Dental assistants.

The salary for this role is $75,201, pro-rata to 32 hours per week.

For the right candidate, we're happy to be flexible with hours and work together to find a schedule that fits between the hours of 7am - 4 : 40pm, for a total of 32 hours per week.

Preference will be given to candidates with prior dental experience - we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running in this role, who has experience with dental systems and software.

About our team / Service Location

The Oral Health Service is staffed by a team of 37 clinical and non-clinical staff, tasked with providing expert care to our specialised patient group.

Our team consists of 7 senior dentists, 4 house surgeons (who provide out of hours on call support), clinical and dental technicians, receptionists, dental assistants, a booking clerk and registered nurse.

The service is also supported by an oral medicine specialist (this role) & oral surgery specialists.

The service primarily cares for medical inpatients, those needing dental care to proceed with other treatments in the hospital and patients unable to be seen in private due to the complexity of their conditions.

The service also provides a limited emergency service for those on a low income, filling a critical gap in accessible care for these patients.

All staff work closely together, supporting each other to achieve positive outcomes for patients coming through the service.

About you

Experience with dental titanium or exact would be an advantage.
