OverviewSecondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacherEnglishTuakau College is located in the North Waikato, in the town of Tuakau.

We require a passionate, energetic teacher to teach in our English learning area, commencing at the start of 2026.ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging English instruction in the learning area for Years 7–15 / wharekura with strong curriculum knowledge.Maintain effective classroom management and foster a positive learning environment.Support student learning and contribute to a collaborative team culture.Qualifications and ExperienceExperience with NCEA is an advantage.Willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment.For overseas applicants : three-year specialist degree at Level 7 with a one-year teacher training Level 7 qualification; New Zealand teacher registration with the NZ Teachers Council is an advantage.Minimum of 5 years' classroom experience.Salary and ConditionsConditions of work and salary are based on the Secondary Teachers Collective Agreement 2002-2025.

The salary range is from $70,779 (34.02 / hr) to $103,086 (49.56 / hr).
