Sunnyvale Primary School is seeking a fixed-term part-time LSC, while our SENCO is on long term leave.

There is potential for this role to be extended, or become permanent in the future.

We can be flexible with days / times / hours of work.

We are seeking an experienced professional who exemplifies these attributes :

Strong relational capability with existing trusting relationships with whanau, support agencies and kaiako

Experience working alongside teachers, as an RTLB or similar

Direct connections with the school systems and processes for teaching and learning

Experience in applications for support, referrals and MoE systems

Experience in co-ordinating support services, identifying and planning for learned' needs and designing well-resources, closely monitored plans.

Demonstrated experience working with children with learning support needs

Experience in design and implementation of programmes for individual students with special learning and behavioural needs and conduct IEPs Individual Learning Plans and IBP Individual Behaviour Plans

Facilitating transition of students with special needs and learning and behavioural challenges from Y6 to Y7 and from school entry.

Coordination and / or assist with the preparation, delivery and evaluation of programmes to meet the needs of staff, students and families / whanau of special needs students or students with learning and behavioural challenges.
