Chef - Weekday Morning Shift

We're hiring an experienced chef to work in Porirua.

Morning shift : Monday to Friday, 6 : 00am – 2 : 00pm.

Lowie is looking for an experienced chef to work in a busy production environment team in Porirua, Wellington.Weekday morning shift : Monday to Friday, 6 : 00am – 2 : 00pmWhat we offer :

Some duties you may be required to do :

Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and quality

Follow and maintain high food safety and hygiene standards

Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely way

Solve any issues that arise and take control of any problematic situation

Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff's performance

The ideal candidate will have the following skills :

Clean MOJ

Previous experience in either a commercial kitchen or large hotel

Knowledge in cookery with a passion for food and presentation

Ability to work rostered shifts (and weekends as needed)

Strive to exceed customers satisfaction

Ability to communicate, multi-task and cope under pressure

No qualifications are required, however, a cookery qualification would be beneficial.

You will need to be a NZ Citizen, Permanent Resident or on a valid work visa to apply for a position.
