Support Worker (Permanent / Disability Sector)

Join the St John of God Hauora Trust as a compassionate and reliable Support Worker in our residential care team, providing care to people living with physical and / or neurological disabilities.

This permanent part-time position requires commitment to morning shifts from Thursday to Monday.

About the Role

Permanent part-time position

Shifts : Thursday to Monday, including weekends

Assist residents with daily living tasks, personal care, mobility, communication, household activities, and community involvement

Work within a supportive team environment

Candidate must hold a valid NZ work visa or permanent residency

What We're Looking For

A caring, patient, and respectful approach to supporting others

Confidence to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication skills and a positive attitude

Reliability and commitment to consistent attendance

Preferred but Not Essential

Previous experience in disability, aged care, health or support work

Relevant qualifications (e.g., NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing or equivalent)
