Software Engineer

Overview

Emirates Team New Zealand is looking for two skilled Software Engineers to join our dedicated team in pushing the boundaries of technology in the world of yacht racing. Our design office encompasses a diverse group of engineers focusing on the goal of designing the fastest yacht to defend the 38th America's Cup.

The successful candidate will take charge of new and existing web-based tools utilised daily by members in the sailing and design teams. Being located in the same office as the end users facilitates the collection of feedback unlike typical consumer based tools.

This software includes displaying the data shown live on the yacht, live data monitoring and settings adjustments by engineers, historical data review, and more.

Responsibilities

• Enhance existing, and develop new, high-quality front-end applications to support live and historical data monitoring and analysis.
• Work closely with engineers and sailors to identify software needs and develop effective solutions.
• Optimise and maintain the software architecture for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Write clean, efficient and maintainable code.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of software components.
• Document software designs and changes for future reference.
