With a showroom in Auckland and a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Timaru, we collaborate with the Design and Architecture industry throughout New Zealand and beyond.About the role : This role will be based out of our Timaru head office to help with our CAD design workload.
You will provide support for both our product design and production detailing teams with shop drawings, design input and design detailing for furniture production.Key Responsibilities : Preparing product designs and shop drawings for production.Assisting R&D Team with developing new product designs.Working with R&D team to achieve their goals and objectives.Updating and improving designs and models as required.Working with the design and production teams to improve manufacturing processes through pragmatic design solutions.About you : 5+ years experience in shopfitting and or joinery productionAdvanced CAD Design experience, ideally using Inventor or similar 3D software.Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in the production of shop drawings.You will be highly organised, attentive to details and a positive team person.The ability to work to deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.We would be willing to offer training to the right candidate who is interested in a career in a design role as we are passionate about developing our people.If you have these skills and are looking for an opportunity with a progressive creative company, then we'd love to hear from you.We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
