Job descriptionCompetitive pay : $45–$48 per hour, depending on experience Tool allowance 50 hours per week Workshop and field service mix Work on a wide range of gear : small plant, heavy equipment, and forestry machinery Join a tight-knit team Medical insurance after 6 months of employment Relevant trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or equivalent experience Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on a wide range of heavy machinery and vehicles Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
About the role
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a reputable and fast-growing company based in Paraparaumu. This full-time role will see you maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy equipment, small plant, and forestry machinery, ensuring optimum performance and safety.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair work on heavy diesel equipment and vehicles
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Performing overhauls, servicing, and rebuilding components
- Maintaining detailed job records and inventory of parts
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards
- Contributing to a collaborative team environment
