- About theRole
- Provide specialist clinical assessment and intervention for older and frail patients in the Emergency Department.
- Act as a key resource for colleagues, offering advice and support in the management of complex needs.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including geriatricians, therapists, social care, and community partners to deliver safe and effective care pathways.
- Contribute to service development, innovation, and quality improvement projects focused on frailty care.
- Support education and training for nursing and medical staff on the recognition and management of frailty.

- About you
- We are now seeking a ClinicalNurse Specialist (CNS) with expertise, or a strong interest, in elderly andfrailty care to join our Emergency Department team. This is an excitingopportunity to make a real impact on the patient journey, reducing unnecessaryadmissions, improving outcomes, and supporting patients and families at a timeof real need.
- Registered Nurse with significant clinical experience, ideally within emergency, acute, or frailty settings.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
- Passion for improving the care of older people and those living with frailty.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development, with or working towards specialist / advanced qualifications.
- Commitment to collaborative working across teams and services.
