Production Technician / Extrusion Technician (Overseas Employment)

Job Purpose
The Production / Extrusion Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and executing production processes to ensure the efficient and high-quality manufacturing of pet food products.
This involves maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and operating state-of-the-art machines and equipment in the Extrusion, Packing, Meats, Treats & RDF, and Raw Material Handling / Batching lines.
Key Responsibilities
Execute production processes to meet targets and quality standards.
Monitor output and adjust workflows to optimize efficiency.
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations.
Conduct regular quality control checks to maintain product quality.
Coordinate with team members to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Perform routine maintenance and Basic Equipment Care (BEC) on production equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance team.
Operate machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures.
Implement quality control procedures and conduct inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Document quality control findings and initiate corrective actions.
Conduct safety inspections and audits, implement corrective measures, and train team members on safe work practices.
Identify process optimization opportunities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
Facilitate ongoing learning and development opportunities for team members.
Perform other tasks as assigned individually or as part of a committee or team.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in food science, engineering, or related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in food manufacturing as a Production Technician or Extrusion Technician.
Experience in pet food production advantageous.
Strong experience with extrusion technology.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate effectively with all team members from various backgrounds.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to schedule multiple activities and resources efficiently.
Training & Certifications
Basic Manufacturing certification preferred.
Forklift License, First Aid Certification, Food Safety Certification (e.g., HACCP) preferred.
