About this position
We're looking for a kaiako to join Central South region, a kaiako who can manaaki ākonga to engage, progress and achieve their goals within their personalised learning program. We are a kura that works across learning areas and levels to provide a one‑size‑fits‑one model. Te Kura is a unique organisation that supports the education ecosystem of Aotearoa.
In this role you will
- Lead, manage and support a multidisciplinary team of kaimahi
- Assist with building a dynamic teaching and learning environment
- Ensure the delivery of high‑quality teaching and pastoral support to our ākonga
- Utilise effective relationship building and communication skills
- Deliver high‑quality, future‑focused teaching & learning
- Undertake a Kaimanaaki role as a key part of your mahi, focusing on pastoral support for your group of ākonga
- Engage with ākonga & whānau in face‑to‑face and online contexts
- Live Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Bring our local curriculum Te Ara Pounamu to life for ākonga
