We’re looking for an Injury Prevention Specialist to join our Safety team here in Aotearoa reporting to our Safety Engineering - Capability Lead in this 2 year fixed term capacity.

Joining our team you’ll take accountability for developing and implementing prevention programs and initiatives to reduce the risk of work related injuries and illnesses.

About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

This role will partner strongly with other teams, including the business to target reduction in our key mechanisms for injury such as manual handling, slips & trips, cuts, hit / struck by objects.

You will be responsible for :

  • Leading as an Ergo champion, participatory ergonomic sprints for hazard identification, risk solution ideation and trail, and drive solution rollout & deployment.
  • Developing business cases to outline justification for OPEX and / or CAPEX investment for injury prevention
  • Developing, piloting and implementing injury prevention programs and initiatives that target our key mechanisms for injury
  • Developing training materials, conducting workshops, completing coaching etc to enable rollout of injury prevention programs
  • Working with our data analysts or as the lead to complete detailed analysis of Early intervention data, first aid and recordable data etc to enable insights into improvements in injury prevention programs
  • Analysing user feedback, injury & incident reports, and performance data to inform injury prevention program design & deployment and where targeted hot spot interventions are needed

About You | Mōu

To succeed in this role you will need to be an excellent communicator with interpersonal skills and have the experience of developing and implementing intervention plans across large organisations

To be successful in this position, you will have 4 years work experience, ideally within retails, warehousing or similar fast paced environment, coupled with ideally a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a health related field (. occ. Therapy, physio, exercise physiology) and / or safety degree
