Donor Relations Coordinator – NEW Donor Centre (Porirua)

We're excited to announce that we're building a brand-new Donor Centre in Porirua, which means we're expanding our team!

In this role, you'll work across both our Newtown Donor Centre and the new Porirua Donor Centre, as well as on our mobile units throughout the greater Wellington region.

While the Porirua Donor Centre prepares for its grand opening, your induction and training will take place at our Newtown Donor Centre.

Once training is complete, your role will be based across both our Newtown and Porirua Donor Centres, as well as supporting donors on our mobile units throughout the greater Wellington region.

Flexibility is essential, as you'll be an important part of our team wherever donors need us.

We're currently on the look-out for a new team member with a positive, 'can-do' attitude and the flexibility to handle a variety of tasks.

To be successful in this role you will have a mix of creativity and attention to detail, enjoy talking with people and providing a great customer experience.

We value people who bring a different perspective, who are passionate, curious and comfortable with trying new things.

To be successful in this role, you would also ideally have :

Work experience in customer service, retail or hospitality

Good organisational skills and effective time management

A team focused approach

Clean FULL Drivers Licence

What you'll do

Less than 4% of New Zealanders are currently donating and you will play a key role in the retention of existing blood and plasma donors and the recruitment of new donors, aimed at growing our donor database.

This is a broad and exciting role where no two days are the same.

You'll promote the benefits of donating blood and plasma so that we can meet growing demand for our products.

You will work with people from all walks of life both in the office and throughout the region at special events.

We'll give you the opportunity to experience challenging work in an environment that will support you with on-the-job training and skill development.

Salary from $74,090 to $77,200 depending on experience.

In addition to our vein-to-vein service in transfusion we also provide national services in organ transplantation, cellular therapies and tissue banking.
