Bottle Machine Operator Grade 2- Visy Glass

The opportunity :

As a Bottle Machine Operator you will work in a full-time permanent role, on a rolling shift pattern, over 4 shifts on and 4 days off (12 hours shifts - 7am / pm to 7pm / am), at our Visy Glass, Penrose Site.

Working in the Hot End of the manufacturing plant and reporting to the Shift Manager your role is to support the Forming Service Department to ensure that the company continues to produce and pack high quality glass ware safely and efficiently. Your main responsibilities will include :

• Operating all I.S Forming Machines at the hot end of the manufacturing plant.
• Monitoring, inspecting and adjusting equipment as required.
• Assist the Job Change Team, with changing the moulds and setting up the I.S Machines to producing our next glass packaging order.
• Ensuring the quality of the glass packaging meets the specifications required of Visy Glass.
• Maintain and ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

What you will bring to the team :

As our new Machine Operator, you will have prior experience, operating machinery within an industrial / manufacturing environment, preferably within a similar environmental condition as the Hot End (i.e. Steel industry). Along with the following.

• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating roster – 2 days / 2 nights, 4 days off!
• You will be mechanically mindset - Mechanical Trade certificate is highly desirable.
• Quality control and defect analysis- You will have good attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment while maintaining high standards and a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
• Reliable team player with solid written and verbal communication skills.
