Senior Geotechnical Engineer

OverviewWe're seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a well-established, multidisciplinary consultancy known for delivering practical, design-led solutions across land development, infrastructure, and environmental sectors.This role offers the opportunity to take technical ownership of projects, lead investigations and design, and play a key part in mentoring junior staff, all within a collaborative and down-to-earth team environment.The RoleLead and deliver geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design across a diverse project portfolioPrepare and review reports, design documentation, and recommendations for foundations, retaining structures, and slope stabilityProvide geotechnical input across feasibility, concept, and detailed design stagesOversee site investigations, construction monitoring, and quality assurance activitiesWork closely with clients, project managers, and engineers across disciplines to ensure integrated design outcomesSupport and mentor junior engineers, contributing to team capability and technical excellenceAbout YouBachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering7+ years' experience in geotechnical design and investigation (consultancy experience preferred)Strong capability in foundation design, settlement analysis, slope stability, and ground improvementProficient in tools such as GeoStudio, SLOPE, Settle3D, or PLAXISExcellent communication and client liaison skillsCPEng (or working towards) with Engineering New ZealandWhat's On OfferCompetitive salary based on experienceFlexible, supportive working environment with genuine autonomyExposure to technically challenging and diverse projects across the regionA collaborative culture that values initiative, innovation, and professional growthIf you're a motivated Geotechnical Engineer looking to take the next step in your career, looking for more responsibility, project variety, or a supportive and flexible workplace, we'd love to hear from you.Apply now or contact Josh Edwards at
