We are seeking a Kaiawhina to support our Kaiako in the delivery of our He Pii Ka Rereprogramme, manage day-to-day activities in the delivery of the programme, prepare documentation / general administration and resource development, recruitment of tauira, and support tauira learning in class.

This is a Part-Time (15 of hours perweek) position, based out of the Whanganui campus. Some flexibility will be required to work some weekends and evenings (for noho and night classes only)

If you have a passion to pathway into teaching te reo Maori, if you want to further develop what you already know and learn from a team of other Kaiako and Kaiawhina who are also passionate about te reo Maori, then this role is for you!

To be successful candidate will :

• Be able to confidently converse in te reo Maori
• Be able to evidence their experience using or navigating systems that support tauira learning
• Be confident using Microsoft Office Applications
• Have proven administration experience
• Level 4 Te Reo or Tikanga qualifications are preferred, or a willingness to study towards gaining a qualification

As a kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture and tikanga) will be key.
