We are seeking a kaiako with a passion to expand our digital technologies programme and ignite akonga passion.
You'll be backed by a supportive leadership team committed to providing the equipment and resourcing needed to make a real difference, and to enabling authentic, local projects that grow capability and open pathways into Computer Science, IT, and creative technologies.
Primary focus — teaching (Y9–13)
Design inclusive, engaging learning across programming, web / app development, information management and creative tech.
Embed digital citizenship, privacy / cybersecurity and responsible AI.
Contribute to cross-curricular digital literacy and strong classroom culture, with a commitment to equity, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and local contexts.
Secondary component — IT lead
Support kura-wide IT alongside your teaching : coordinate with our managed service partner, assist with termly priorities / change windows, help staff / student onboarding to core systems, support digital exam readiness, and escalate online-safety concerns through our pastoral processes.
Includes 1 MU + 1 MMA and ~ 2 hours / week release.
You'll bring
NZ teacher registration and secondary experience

Appointment subject to police vet and Teaching Council requirements.
Remuneration per STCA; allowances as above.
