About the opportunity  As part of the Night Shift Maintenance Team operating in a 24 / 7 environment, you will be involved in the repair and maintenance of the Beverages, Foods and UHT filling and packaging plants including (but not limited to) the associated processing and Site services equipment.Your forward thinking, drive and ability to achieve results will benefit you here too, as you’ll have plenty of scope to drive continuous improvement on equipment and process reliability with some of the industry's leading-edge technology. Some Key Responsibilities include :

  • Electrical maintenance and breakdown cover on high-speed machinery and complex operating systems
  • Completing preventative and predictive maintenance and responding to breakdowns
  • Ensure all process plant repairs and maintenance are completed in timely and cost-effective manner to support operational excellence
  • Maintenance of electrical control equipment, pumps, motors, VSD’s, conveyers, manufacturing and filling equipment etc

The role is based on a 4 nights on, 4 nights off, 12-hour, and 6pm to 6am rostered shift pattern. About you  To be successful in this role you will have proven experience within an FMCG environment with strong diagnostic skills (fault finding and root cause analysis). A natural at coping with change, you’ll be capable of reacting to unplanned breakdowns and troubleshooting issues as they occur. You will have excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail and accuracy and prior experience in achieving results through engaging others.You must be able to work as part of a team but will be expected to work autonomously for much of the time.In addition to this, we are looking for the following skills :

  • Dual trade as Electrical / Instrumentation Engineer or a Electrical / Maintenance Fitter would be highly advantageous
  • NZ electrician registration with a current practicing licence with demonstrable experience in Electrical
  • Sound understanding of Reliability Centred Maintenance
  • Familiarity with high-speed manufacturing machinery with PLC controls
  • PLC programming ability on Allen Bradley / OMRON
  • An acute awareness of safe health & safety practices
  • Good computer literacy including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management system and Permit to Work systems would be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of robotics and automated packaging systems.
