Key Responsibilities

Guiding technical design and decision-making for Business Banking systems

Acting as the escalation point for complex technical issues within the Business Bank workstream

Supporting Platform, DevOps and Test teams to ensure system stability and efficient delivery pipelines

Collaborating with Architecture, Platforms, Technology Leadership and Discovery teams to shape technical strategy and roadmaps

Providing technical input and strategic direction to Tribe roadmaps, ensuring successful integration with ASB's broader technology infrastructure

Championing robust engineering practices and driving continuous improvement in platform stability and performance

Partnering closely with Programme leadership to ensure technology implementation aligns with business goals and timelines

Ensuring reliability and stability of production systems by offering support and technical leadership to responsible teams

Regularly engaging with Engineering Chapter Leads (Dev, Test, SRE, Data) to support broader uplift for our people

About You

Experienced engineering leader who thrives in modern, large-scale tech environments

Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach

Proven experience as an Engineering Leader or Architect

Hands-on expertise with Salesforce and / or nCino, ideally within cloud transformation projects

Deep knowledge of public cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) including security and governance for large organisations

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across technical and non-technical teams

Initiative, problem-solving ability and a collaborative approach to leadership
