You'll play a key role in designing scalable, secure customer first solutions.This role is central to a multi-year transformation, guiding the integration of platforms and capabilities that enable seamless omni-channel operations.Key Focus AreasDesign and deliver omnichannel solutions that unify customer journeys across digital, store, and fulfilment touchpointsArchitect scalable eCommerce platforms that support product discovery, cart management, checkout, and post-purchase experiencesAddressing the design of our marketing technology which covers loyalty, marketing automation, adtech, personalisation and promotions.Maximise ROI by architecting tech that makes every marketing dollar go furtherIntegrate planning, inventory, and fulfilment systems to enable real-time availability, accurate order orchestration, and flexible delivery optionsEnsure governance and consistency across platforms, with a focus on secure data flow, API management, and system interoperabilitySupport cloud migration and platform modernisation, shaping roadmaps that enable agility, resilience, and future growthConduct technical assessments and propose enhancements to improve performance, security, and customer experience across channelsMentor architects and technical teams, fostering capability in omnichannel design, integration patterns, and retail architectureStay informed on emerging technologies and best practices, including headless commerce, composable architecture, and customer data platformsQualificationsThis role demands more than technical know-how; it requires someone who can turn strategy into action.
You will bring hands-on experience architecting eCommerce and retail systems, with a sharp eye for integration, performance, and customer impact.
If you enjoy solving real-world challenges with elegant, scalable solutions, we'd love to meet you.We're seeking candidates who bring the following experience and capabilities : Extensive experience in solution architecture within retail, eCommerce, or omnichannel environments (typically 8+ years)Proven track record designing and integrating platforms across digital commerce, ERP, CRM, POS, WMS, and supply chain systemsStrong understanding of cloud-native architecture, with hands-on experience in Azure, AWS, or GCPFamiliarity with headless commerce, composable architecture, and API-first ecosystemsDeep knowledge of retail operating models, including planning, inventory, fulfilment, and customer engagementExperience with platform modernisation, cloud migration, and legacy system transformationProficiency in integration patterns, data flow design, and secure architecture (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR)Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutionsExperience mentoring technical teams and contributing to architectural governanceRelevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS / Azure Architect, Oracle Retail) are highly regardedBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldAdditional InformationEligibilityTo apply, you must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand at the time of application.
