Job descriptionAbility to work methodically following strict quality procedures. Customer focus with effective interpersonal skills to provide high-quality service to internal and external customers. Sound knowledge of medical terminology, laboratory operations including safety, equipment operation, and practical experience is desirable but not essential. Diploma in Applied Science or Bachelor of Science is an advantage but not essential. Registration with the Medical Science Council and an Annual Practising Certificate as a Medical Laboratory Pre-Analytical Technician in Patient Services is desirable, but not essential. Valid New Zealand full or restricted driver’s license. Eligibility to work in New Zealand. Join a friendly, high-performing, and forward-thinking team environment. Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing :
- Collect blood samples and handle contained specimens (e.g., human blood, faeces, urine, tissue) from patients in community and hospital settings.
- Work within the Patient Services Department to ensure samples are processed and tested in the medical laboratory.
- Adhere to strict quality procedure guidelines in a methodical manner.
- Collaborate with a supportive and professional team to deliver high-quality patient care.
