About the role

We are looking for a H&S Co-ordinator to promote and oversee all aspects of health and safety on the Nelson site. You will act as the sites go to person for guidance on health and safety related matters.

As a H&S Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for :

  • Taking an active role in promoting H&S across the site
  • Working with the H&S Manager and Advisors to ensure the company’s H&S strategies are implemented
  • Ensuring the sites hazard, risk, and emergency management processes are well maintained
  • Triaging events on Assura to ensure the appropriate investigations are conducted
  • Providing regular reports to management including injury statistics, key risks, accidents and incidents, and audit findings to assist with strategic direction

Qualifications

For this role, you’ll need :

  • Prior knowledge and experience within H&S is preferred
  • To be highly organised and motivated
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude and ability to adapt
  • The ability to self-manage and use initiative
