As a shepherd general, you'll work closely with the farm manager, who'll support your learning, growth, and confidence in all aspects of high-country farming.
In This Role, You'll Have The Opportunity To
Work hands-on with livestock, contributing to day-to-day stock management
Get involved in tractor work – full training provided
Help with general farm maintenance and fencing projects
Join horseback musters alongside your team of dogs
You'll work alongside a friendly, experienced team who value sharing knowledge and supporting each other's success.
Molesworth offers good opportunities for dog work, with diverse hill country terrain.
You'll thrive on variety and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to tackle all aspects of farm life.

THE FARM
Molesworth is an awe-inspiring high-country property spanning 180,787 hectares across the North Canterbury and Marlborough regions.
Nestled between the Kaikoura mountains, the Wairau River, and Hanmer Springs, Molesworth offers a unique blend of heritage, scale, and natural beauty.
Home to around 5,500 Angus beef cattle, the station combines rich farming tradition with progressive and sustainable pastoral practices, all while protecting the land's remarkable biodiversity.
