Drainage Labourer - WaikatoWe're looking for proactive and reliable Drainage Labourers to join a skilled team working on a variety of projects across the Waikato Region.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience alongside qualified tradespeople and work on meaningful infrastructure.What You'll Be Doing : This is a physically active role where you'll be helping with : Preparing worksites for drainage and sewer installationInstalling, repairing, and maintaining pipes, pits, culverts, and drainage structuresCleaning, inspecting and performing minor repairs on stormwater and sewerage systemsOperating tools and equipment (under supervision)Assisting with trench digging, pipe laying, and backfillingSpotting for machinery and ensuring safe operation zonesPerforming general site clean-up and material handlingFollowing safety procedures and wearing PPE at all times What We're Looking For : We're after dependable team players with a solid work ethic and can-do attitude.
Ideally, you'll have : At least 1 years' experience as drainage labourer in New Zealand assisting on-site in a trade or construction settingGood physical fitness and a willingness to work in varied conditionsA strong focus on health and safetyA current driver's licence and reliable transport (preferred)2 recent work referencesThe ability to pass a pre-employment drug screenIf you're looking to break into the trade or continue building on your practical skills, this could be the perfect step forward.
