Your leadership will drive both technical excellence and a positive, high-performing team culture.RequirementsWHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGLeading & Mentoring : Guide and inspire a team of compositors, overseeing projects and sequences while fostering a collaborative work environmentLook Development & Style Setting : Establish the creative direction, creating templates, tools, and workflows that optimize efficiencyComplex Compositing : Execute some of the most challenging shots, seamlessly integrating 3D elements into live-action footageCollaboration & Feedback : Work closely with VFX Supervisors, 3D Leads, and Department Heads to maintain creative and technical consistencyTechnical Problem-Solving : Drive solutions to maintain high-quality work while meeting deadlinesBidding & Planning : Support project estimates and VFX methodologies to ensure accurate scheduling and deliveryWhat We're Looking For7+ years of compositing experience in live-action film or episodic projectsProven leadership experience - Ability to mentor, motivate, and guide artists to deliver their best workMastery of Nuke - Strong knowledge of compositing workflows, including Gizmos and Groups.3D Integration Expertise - Seamlessly blend CG elements with live-action footageStrong Artistic Eye - Attention to detail and the ability to interpret and implement feedback effectively.Technical Knowledge - Bonus if you have experience with Python scripting, digital matte painting, texture painting, or paint / roto work.3D Workflow Experience - Familiarity with Maya, Houdini, ZBrush, Redshift, Karma / Solaris, and emerging technologies like AI is a plusClear Communicator & Team Player - Strong ability to communicate with artists, supervisors, and production, ensuring smooth project executionBenefitsExciting & Award-Winning Projects : Join New Zealand's leading independent VFX studio and collaborate on diverse, high-profile film and TV projects that push creative boundaries and have earned industry recognition for excellenceA Studio That Cares : Work, Play & Stay Connected!
