What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Legal & Compliance Officer to sit in our Auckland office. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters across the ANZ business, providing strategic legal advice, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions. You will report directly to the International General Counsel and act as a business partner to the ANZ Managing Director and leadership team.
Role Responsibilities
At the strategic level, the Legal & Compliance Officer will be required to provide legal support for the strategic and commercial objectives and outcomes across a range of corporate disciplines (including all aspects of contracts and commercial law, strategy, IT and software licensing & development, data protection, outsourcing, IP, procurement, litigation, and dispute resolution). You’ll offer commercially balanced legal advice to senior management and business unit leaders within the Corpay fuel card businesses in New Zealand and Australia to ensure that business unit activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, risks are identified and appropriately managed, and our rights are protected.
Qualifications & Skills
Ideally, you are someone with a sound knowledge of local regulations including both Australia and New Zealand rules and regulations. You have excellent communication skills (both strong written and verbal communications skills) with ability to communicate to people in a range of positions.
