In this role, you'll work with diverse populations to support positive change and enhance community safety.Work directly with individuals at high risk of reoffending, using a range of tailored psychological interventions.

Services are provided to both men and women across prison and community settings.With positions available in central Auckland and Manukau, you'll enjoy a strong team culture, ongoing professional development, and the chance to help shape the future of rehabilitation in the corrections system.

You are proactive in seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth, eager to contribute to the outcomes of initiatives like Hokai Rangi, which focuses on achieving positive outcomes for Maori within the justice system.Whether you're just starting your career or seeking to advance in a development-focused service, you hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Psychology (Clinical or Forensic Psychology) and are registered with the NZ Psychologist Board in the clinical / counselling or general scope of practice.

Frontline Psychologists also have the ability to work towards additional allowances and allocated professional development funding.

We may also offer flexible and / or part-time options for working hours.

Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.In addition to your salary, you will receive a $2,000 annual professional development allowance and become eligible for five weeks of annual leave after one year of service, increasing to six weeks after four years of continuous service.Join Ara Poutama Aotearoa - Department of Corrections, where your work will contribute to improving public safety, reducing re-offending, and address the overrepresentation of Maori in correctional facilities.
