The Role
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for providing strategic leadership in the New Zealand business, driving business growth, ensuring connection with the Belgravia Leisure core support services and ensuring operational excellence, whilst fostering a safe work environment and a culture of innovation and collaboration to deliver exceptional experiences and services to our communities.
Key Accountabilities
Strategic Planning and Vision
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve long-term objectives.
- Identify market trends, opportunities and potential threats to inform strategic decision-making.
- Lead the development of new initiatives, partnerships and revenue streams to enhance the companies’ competitive position.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, client partners, suppliers, investors and regulatory authoritiesRepresent the company in industry forums, conferences and public events, promoting our brand and values while networking and fostering collaboration opportunities.Communicate transparently and effectively with stakeholders, keeping them informed about company performance, initiatives and strategic direction.Operational Manager
Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with industry standards and regulations.Implement best practices in operational processes, systems and technologies to optimise performance and customer experience.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.Through positive relationships and strong connections, ensure Belgravia NZ leverages the strength of the broader Belgravia Group.Financial Performance
Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts and business plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.Monitor financial performance against goals, analyse variances and implement corrective actions as needed.Evaluate investment opportunities, pricing strategies and cost optimisation initiatives to maximise financial results.Personal Contributions

A bachelors degree in business administration, finance, management, or a related field is often required.Advanced degrees such as an MBA or a master's degree in a relevant discipline can also be beneficial.National Police Check.Preferred Skills, Experience and Personal Attributes
Previous experience in executive leadership roles, such as CEO, COO, or senior management positions.A deep understanding of one or more of the sport, recreation and leisure industries, including market trends, competitors, regulatory requirements and customer preferences is crucial for making informed decisions and staying competitive.Belgravia Leisure is a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit.
