Just 2 hours from the vibrant hubs of Dunedin and Queenstown, there's plenty southland has to offer.The purpose of this role within New Zealand Food Safety, Verification Services is to provide a range of food safety, animal welfare, and biosecurity verification and certification services based at South Pacific Meats (SPM51).

You will support the meat industry and New Zealand's reputation in the world red meat market for the product produced and ensure food safety and export standards are being followed by the plant.South Pacific Meats Awarua is a sheep and bobby calf processing plant, fifteen minutes' drive to the south of Invercargill, on the way to Bluff.This position mainly covers late evening / night shift throughout the year, and you will be expected to rotate shifts within the team as required.

Some Saturday processing occurs during sheep season and occasional Sunday processing during bobby calf season, and you would be expected to participate in the Saturday and Sunday roster.The role is varied, and you will be expected to do the following :
