Job descriptionRole 1 : 18.3 hours – Monday, Tuesday & Sunday Role 2 : 12 hours – Wednesday & Saturday Role 3 : 13.3 hours – Monday & Sunday Role 4 : 13.5 hours – Friday & Saturday Prior Customer Service Experience Ability to work in a fast-paced environment High standards in customer service and store presentation Proficient in calming irate customers and resolving issues with empathy and professionalism Physical Requirements : able to lift up to 15 kg between floor and shoulder, 10 kg above shoulder height; ability to wear a headset to communicate with the team on the shop floor; stand and walk for prolonged periods A supportive, friendly team culture that celebrates wins and supports your goals Competitive salary / hourly rate Paid parental leave to support you and your family Training pathways to support your growth and career development Employee Assistance Program for wellbeing Generous team discounts Apply Online – Submit your application through our careers portal. Pre-Employment Checks – If successful, we will begin pre-employment checks. Offer & Contract – Once checks are complete and satisfactory, we\'ll issue your employment contract. Start Date – Employment to commence 3-4 weeks before the grand opening date. Grand Opening – The store officially opens on 20 December 2025. If you have leave planned during the seasonal period (including public holidays), please let us know. If your roster includes a public holiday, you will be required to work on that day. Due to the intimate and personal nature of our work, successful applicants will also need to undergo a Ministry of Justice Check. About the Role
As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, fostering a positive shopping experience, and supporting new and expectant parents on their journey. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping others and thrives in a dynamic retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement – Connect with and understand the needs of new and expectant parents, providing personalised assistance and product recommendations.
- Product Demonstration – Guide customers through product features and benefits, ensuring they make informed choices.
- Stock Management – Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure the store is well-presented and organised.
- Flexible Scheduling – Work a rotating roster of flexible shifts across weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
