Farm Egg Collector

We are looking for a fit, reliable person to join our awesome team here at NZ Egg Group.

We have a full-time position based out of Levin. This is a minimum wage job $23.70 / hr.

Job Details

Physically demanding! 6am - 3pm. The Egg collection job consists of a roster that bases off a 16‑week cycle. It is essentially 6 days on 2 days off but does have some variation. Full clean license required (driving manual van between farms).

Responsibilities

• Egg collection hand collecting off belt
• Going into sheds with chickens (floor eggs) (bending / lifting)
• Lifting
• Handling chickens
• Standing and walking all day
• Cleaning
• On farm duties
• Able to drive a forklift (a plus)

This is a physical job where you are standing, walking and lifting all day. You need to be comfortable going into a poultry shed with up to 10,000 birds picking up any eggs that are laid on the floor, checking feed and water and handling any birds.

Additional Information

Full license and the ability to drive a manual are also a must! No prior experience needed. Full training with immediate start.
