The Smarter Operations Specialist supports the Operations Effectiveness team, focusing on rolling out initiatives and partnering with Woolworths 360 to drive efficiency and business improvements. It involves identifying best practices and initiatives, conducting pilots, evaluating productivity benefits, and role-modeling aligned "Ways of Working" within Woolworths NZ.
Key responsibilities include :
Identify and implement efficiency gains and process improvements within the Network, collaborating with the Woolworths 360 team.
Determine the financial benefits and process improvements for all opportunities.
Lead and participate in end-to-end initiatives involving internal and group stakeholders.
Act as a strong operations "voice" with excellent communication skills to engage all levels of the business.
Provide written updates on initiative tracking and review for the executive team.
What you’ll bring | Hei koha
5+ years experience in an FMCG / Retail environment, with the ability to navigate change and adapt quickly.
Proven values-led and engaging cross-functional stakeholder management skills, including influencing relationships and outcomes.
Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal), with demonstrated experience facilitating sessions with business leaders and operational teams.
Results-oriented, proactively identifying challenges and collaborating to find solutions.
Experience with or desire to learn about digital activities, and advanced use of tech platforms for data gathering and presentation.
