Investment Coordinator

As an Investment Coordinator, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering science funding rounds across MBIE's science investment funds.

What you will do

Lead timeline planning and coordination of science funding rounds.

Provide customer-focused technical support to funding applicants and contract holders.

Provide contract administration services, including drafting, peer review, and execution of contracts and variations.

Assist with configuration and testing of funding templates in MBIE's online funding system to ensure they are fit for purpose.

Prepare basic reports and analysis for planning, running, and reviewing funding rounds and processes.

Collaborate across teams to support operational delivery and continuous business improvements.

Skills and Experience Required

2 – 4 years' relevant experience in project planning and coordination or funding roles.

Foundation in broad project planning, business process support, with exposure to government processes or funding operation and contracting areas considered an advantage.

Familiarity with productivity software and proven ability to learn and navigate online systems (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be considered an advantage).

Strong collaboration and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively within your team and across internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain positive working relationships.

Customer-focused mindset and experience providing external customer service.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, timeline planning, and basic reporting.

Strong organisational skills, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines without compromising quality.

Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, for a range of audiences.

Proactive, solutions-focused approach, comfortable working in a dynamic environment with ambiguity and change.
