About the Role :

At BestStart Montel Ave, we are looking for a qualified teacher to join our team in the 3-5 year-olds' room.

The ideal candidate will be fully certified, collaborate with the team to implement our local curriculum, actively contribute to planning, and confidently communicate children’s learning and development.

Strong relationship-building skills are essential, focusing on genuine partnerships with whānau to set goals aligned with family aspirations and children's needs. An understanding of culturally responsive practice, grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the ability to create an engaging, child-led environment is crucial.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.

Role requirements :

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following :

• B Ed / Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration / certification
• Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
• Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
• A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
• Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
