GHD is on the lookout for an experienced IS Technician to join our team. This role currently sits in Christchurch.
You will provide client focused technical support and service on supported GHD technologies, applications and platforms to enable the delivery of work to GHD’s clients.
The role :
- Complete assigned tasks via the ticketing system within defined service levels
- Effective diagnosis and resolution of client issues to minimise recurrence
- Accurately update and / or log all tasks / client requests in the ticketing system
- Effectively prioritise tasks to ensure service levels / deadlines are met
- Report identified risks to your manager in accordance with the GHD Risk Management Framework
- Alignment to ISO Audit certification
- Accurate record-keeping and ensuring platforms remain updated
- Asset and fleet management
- Escalation and communication of incidents to other relevant internal IS teams
- Maintain integrity and governance by adhering to standard service desk procedures and IS security protocols
- Take opportunities to educate and coach clients to increase their technical skills and encourage self-service
- Continually build your knowledge of GHD’s business and technologies and keep up to date on industry trends and technologies
About you :
A bachelor’s degree Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent experience desirableMinimum 3 years’ experience in a helpdesk / desktop support role or similar in a large and / or global professional services organisationIndustry Certification (ie ITIL, MCSE) would be an advantageStrong technical knowledge of GHD operating systems, key hardware and software applicationsA good understanding of Cloud Deployment concepts and Azure cloud services desirableKnowledge of network cabling and TCP / IP networks, Active DirectoryExcellent client service skills and communications skillsStrong analysis and problem-solving skillsTeam player, strong desire to learn, resilient, proactivePosition is office based in Christchurch , must have flexibility with work hours and travelling to other locations if requiredClick ‘Apply’ to submit your CV or reach out to Zen Chua (
