• About the Role
• As Manager, Purchasing, you will lead the design and implementation of a world-class system for purchasing outsourced clinical services, ensuring sustainable, high-quality delivery across Aotearoa.

You will play a critical role in developing a consistent, nationwide approach to managing external purchasing relationships with private hospital providers.

This role combines strategic planning, operational delivery, and relationship management, working with clinical, finance, and regional teams to develop a ten-year service delivery pathway outsourced clinical services aligned to the Pae Ora vision.

You'll drive collaboration across internal and external partners to ensure Health New Zealand's provider delivery programme reflects best practice, supports equity, and advances the organisation's long-term service planning goals.

You will lead a team of four and work closely with regional hospital leadership, clinical networks, procurement, and external purchasing agencies to ensure strong, enduring partnerships and consistent nationwide service delivery.

You bring a deep understanding of service delivery systems and funding models, and you know how to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

You are comfortable leading change and innovation, fostering cross-agency collaboration, and embedding Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and equity at the core of your work.You will bring :
