You will be a part of the awesome clinical team supporting our residents.
We are seeking a kind Activities Coordiantor for our Gulf Rise Village, based in Red Beach on the sunny Hibiscus Coast (North Auckland).
This is a Permanent position and includes a Saturday (weekend allowance will apply).
You will be working in a state-of-the-art Care Home, with all the amenities provided to deliver outstanding care and make our residents feel safe, honoured and comfortable.
Pay range is in line with the health and wellbeing payrate published on the Ministry of Health website.
Weekend allowance also applies here
Key responsibilities will include :
Planning and implementing an innovative activities program
Liaising with families and staff to participate in leisure activities
Assisting our residents to participate in organized activities
Establish and maintain a therapeutic environment
Ensure the health and safety of our residents
Driving the village van to take our residents to outdoor activities (this is a fully automatic modern van)
About you
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative, outgoing and can think outside the box.
You will have a genuine love for the elderly and want to make a difference.
Ideally you will have experience as an Activities Coordinator however this role would suit an experienced Caregiver looking to broaden their skill set with a passion for ensuring our residents are enjoying a therapeutic environment and experiencing the activities on offer at our Care Suites.
Candidates must have the following :
Current Full Drivers License required
Current First Aid Certificate preferred but not essential
Experience with working with groups of older people
