Purpose of the role
We are looking for a Housing & Tenancy Coordinator to support the Housing & Tenancy Manager in delivering quality housing services to whanau.
This role provides administrative and coordination support across tenancy processes, ensuring compliance with tenancy law and Ngati Whatua Orakei housing policies.
The Housing & Tenancy Coordinator will help ensure whanau have access to safe, warm kainga and that tenancy documentation, inspections, and reporting are completed to a high standard.

Essential
Experience in database management and preparation of formal documentation.
Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
Ability to engage effectively with whanau and de-escalate situations when required.
Proven stakeholder engagement experience.
Desirable
Proficiency in te reo Maori or willingness to learn
Familiarity with tenancy and housing compliance frameworks and legislation and / or real estate qualifications

Manage tenancy-related documentation from application to termination.
Assist with housing waitlist management, allocation committee reporting, and tenancy tribunal documentation.
Support the Manager in liaising with tenants, whanau, and external stakeholders.
Record and monitor property inspections, maintenance requests, and compliance reports.
Track rent recovery and document tenancy breaches or disputes.
Help organise whanau hui and community events to support papakainga life.
