About the role
In the role of Trade Sales Manager at CARTERS Tauranga, you will provide critical operational support to the branch manager by overseeing the day to day running of the internal Trade Sales Support team, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service to our trade customers, enhancing branch sales and ensuring efficient branch processes.
While overseeing the showroom, you will have 5 direct reports in the Trade Sales team and 2 indirect, customer services reports.
You will be expected to :
Maintain best practice standards by setting an example and efficiently managing the team to meet objectives, optimize revenue, and ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols.
Lead by example and work alongside the trade support and customer service team to identify suitable products, preparing and loading customer orders, and complete sales documentation accurately for our customers.
Guide and nurture the team, fostering inspiration, support, motivation, and advancement opportunities to encourage growth and succession.
About you
We are seeking a trusted leader who can be relied upon to deliver the best possible customer experience and who ideally comes from a trade background.
You will have the following skills and qualities :
Proven ability to lead effectively, with a primary focus on overseeing and supervising staff responsibilities and performance.
You have a natural inclination to grow your team, meet their training needs, and enhance branch profitability.
Proficient in utilizing computer systems with a solid grasp of technology.
Innate interpersonal skills, adept at fostering trust and building rapport with our valued customers.
Prior experience in a comparable managerial position would be advantageous.
Having a strong grasp of the building industry is highly desirable.
